Charlton Athletic coach, Anthony Hayes, has shared the ambitions of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, the young talent who worked under his guidance during a loan spell in the English Championship last season.

Despite representing England U20, the former Chelsea attacker has set his sights on playing for the Ghana national team, prioritizing his desire to represent the Black Stars over the Three Lions.

Making his Premier League debut as a substitute against his former club Chelsea on August 14, 2021, Rak-Sakyi showcased his potential on the big stage.

Hayes revealed Rak-Sakyi's determination to play in the English Premier League and to represent Ghana in international competitions, including the World Cup.

"Jes[urun Rak-Sakyi] has ambitions to play in the Premier League and represent Ghana, to play in World Cup."

At present, the 20-year-old is dedicated to learning the French language after first-team training, intending to communicate effectively with potential Ghanaian teammates once he joins the national team.

During his loan spell at Charlton Athletic in League One last season, Rak-Sakyi displayed a masterful performance, scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists in 50 appearances. His outstanding contributions earned him the prestigious Player of the Year award.

Having returned to Crystal Palace, Rak-Sakyi is currently focusing on preseason preparations, aiming to secure a spot in the team for the upcoming campaign.
