The Saints have submitted an improved bid worth €20 million to Stade Rennes for the acquisition of the talented winger in the ongoing transfer window.
English Premier League side Southampton have reportedly launched a new offer to Stade Rennes for the possible signing of Kamaldeen Sulemana on permanent basis.
The 20-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs including PSV Eindhoven, Newcastle United and Everton after the 2022 FIFA World Cup but the St. Mary's Stadium looks as his next destination.
Earlier this week, French Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennes were reported to have turned down an offer worth €17 million from PSV Eindhoven and Southampton.
According to French tabloid Lequipe.fr, Southampton have officially tabled a new offer around the region of€20 million excluding additional bonuses to secure the signature of the Techiman-born winger from Rennes this transfer window.
In the ongoing season, Sulemana has now recovered fully despite some setbacks at the start and has made 13 league appearances with a goal to his belt
