Joseph Adjei was sent off as his Mohammedan Sporting Club side fell to a 3-0 defeat to Real Kasmir in the I-League's Sunday action.
The 23-year-old defender received a straight red card in the 79th minute after being booked in the 6th minute for using excessive force to clip-down a Real Kashmir player in the game that gave them their first defeat after 12 rounds of matches.
Although Mohammedan was defeated they still maintain their spot (1st) on the 13-teams league table with 27 points.
Mohammedan will travel to Aizawl for their next game on February 10 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.
