Ghana international, Derek Boateng, is highly impressed with the quality of the North American Soccer League.
The former Fulham enforcer is elated with the standard of the American second-tier league.
The 33-year-old joined Rayo OKC from Spanish side SD Eibar in January.
“I’ve been impressed with how many good players are in the league. It’s very competitive, they play very tough football. You think it is going to be easy, but it’s not. I’m really happy with the way it’s going” he said in an interview.
“I’ve been playing in Europe the past 17 years; I have a lot of experience. And now I just want to play football and help my team win".
"That is what’s important to me. We are a new team, a very humble team. Everyone comes to training and gives 100 percent. I like the commitment".
"We are in a new situation and we are still getting used to each other. We know it’s not going to be easy, but our goal is to play in the postseason”, Boateng added.
Boateng has made 10 appearances for the Oklahoma based club this season and was named in the league team of the week last weekend.
