Dutch forward of Ghanaian descent Myron Boadu produced an influential display on Tuesday night as Watford claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Lincoln City in the English Championship.

The 25-year-old was named in the starting lineup for the Matchday 14 encounter and played 60 minutes before being replaced by Mamadou Doumbia.

Boadu worked tirelessly throughout his time on the pitch, causing problems for the Lincoln defence with his movement and intelligent link-up play.

His decisive contribution came immediately after the restart when he set up Stephy Mavididi to score the only goal of the match just one minute into the second half, securing all three points for the Hornets.

The victory provides a timely boost for Watford, who remain 20th in the Championship table but have moved two places clear of the relegation zone.

Boadu has gradually found his rhythm this season and is beginning to make a greater impact in attack. He has now registered two goals and one assist in seven league appearances during the 2026/27 campaign.

While he is still searching for his best goalscoring form, the former AZ Alkmaar striker has delivered encouraging performances in recent weeks and appears to be growing in confidence.

Watford will now shift their attention to Saturday's Championship clash against Middlesbrough, where Boadu will be hoping to build on his impressive display and help the Hornets secure back-to-back victories.
