The evergreen wonderkid of Ghanaian heritage has revealed his determination to spend more time with the Johan Cruyff Arena campaigners after passing through the academy ranks to the Jong Ajax so far

Dutch-born Ghanaian teen Pharell Nash has made himself clear by stating that staying at Ajax remains his priority as he looks forward to extending his contract with them very soon.

The 18-year-old talented youngster, who has seen talks of fresh terms with the Amsterdam-based club mooted for some time now, has affirmed that there is indeed an ongoing negotiation among his entourage over contract extension, but wouldn't elaborate much into it as he aims to continue plying his trade with the Dutch Eredivisie giants.

''They are simply in talks, but I'm not going to say much about it. I just want to stay at Ajax. That much is clear, I think,'' the budding nimble-footed Ghana-prospect winger said of his contract extension situation to ESPN.

Nash has so far savoured first-team football actions with Ajax, but he is still keeping his head over getting more game time with the mainstream squad.

''I certainly have to be patient. But I am also grateful to Ajax for the opportunities they have given me. I made my debut in various competitions ( Eredivisie, Eurojackpot KNVB Cup and Champions League , ed.) and I am very grateful to them for that.''

He added when asked about his favourite position on the field of play. He said: ''I can play anywhere. I'm a bit versatile. I've played at number ten, but also on the left, in the center, and on the right. I prefer playing from the left, I would say."

Nash has taken in 40 appearances by netting 9 times and assisting 7 across all competitions in this ongoing campaign.

Born to Ghanaian parents in The Netherlands, the nimble right-footed winger remains a future prospect for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for The Netherlands U15 & U17 national youth teams.
