The Finnish second-tier campaigners have parted ways with the former BK Häcken frontman ahead of the forthcoming winter transfer window

Ykkösliiga side Ekenäs IF have released Ghanaian wing-forward Nasiru Mohammed at end of the 2026/27 football season.

The 32-year-old former Levski Sofia man, who linked up with the Ekenäs Sparbank Arena outfit during the winter window of 2024, is now going his separate ways with the EIF, with his current terms set to expire on December 31, 2026.

A statement confirming the release of the former Ghana U17 star across the various social media handles of the Raseborg-based club read: Thank you from EIF! Mohammed Nasiru and Ralph Kerrebijn will not play for EIF next season. We wish the players the very best of luck and success in their future challenges.''

The Rainbow FC product netted 4 times and assisted 5 in 25 games across all competitions for Ekenäs IF in the just-concluded Finnish second-tier campaign.

The Kumasi-born experienced attacking forward has yet to earn his cap with the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars at the international level.
