Ghanaian international, Emmanuel Gyasi has expressed elation over Empoli's historic 1-2 away victory over giants AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico last Sunday night in match-day 2 of the Italian Serie A
The Black Stars attacker enjoyed full throttle and delivered a majestic performance throughout the game including a goal to win the man of the match accolade.
Gyasi opened the scoring account in the game in the dying embers after collecting a sumptuous assist from Lorenzo Colombo- who subsequently netted their second on the 61st minute.
Uzbek international Eldor Shomurodov pulled one back for the Romanistas nineteen later but wasn't enough to complete their comeback.
Reacting to the win after the game, the 30-year-old expressed elation for the victory and gave all credits to his manager Roberto D'Aversa for the goal he scored and has urged his teammates to continue with the same mentality in their subsequent games.
“The coach had studied the goal situation well during the week, it was a plan: attack at the far post. In fact, I tried at 0-0 but I was already thinking about how to celebrate, then it went well. We have to continue like this.”
Emmanuel Gyasi, who has three international games for the Black Stars, will again seek a starting berth when they travel to Bologna in the next round of matches.
