Ghanaian attacking midfielder Emmanuel Ofori Agyemang came off the bench to score and provided an assist to propel Wolfsberger AC to a heavy win over Rapid Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon.
The former WAFA starlet was a delight to watch after being introduced in the second half of the fixture, which the Black and White lads secured a 5-1 victory at the Lavanttal Arena.
Serbian international Dejan Zukic opened the scoring for Wolfsberger AC with a fine strike in the 10th minute before Dion Beljo levelled up from the spot in the 24th minute for the visitors.
Three minutes later, Rapid Wien were reduced to ten men when Niklas Hedl was sent off for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
In the 62nd minute, Dejan Zukic netted his second goal of the day to restore the lead for the home side before Emmanuel Ofori Agyemang made it 3-1 with a brilliant strike in the 73rd minute of the game.
Ofori Agyemang teed up with two-goal hero Erik Kojzek to register the fourth goal in the 89th minute and hit the final nail in the 90+3 minute to hand Wolfsberger AC a 5-1 win at home.
The 21-year-old, who was signed by Wolfsberger AC on a long-term contract from West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC in February 2024, has played an instrumental role in the 2024/24 season's campaign for the Bundesliga club.
Ofori Agyemang has scored three goals and provided five assists in 21 appearances across all competitions for Wolfsberger AC.
