The Scottish second-tier side have captured the 24-year-old attacker of Ghanaian descent on a season deal plus an option of extension to another year at the end of the campaign

English-born Ghanaian centre-forward Francis Amartey has signed a one-year deal with Scottish Championship side Ayr United F.C, with a contract extension term to another year in place at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The attacking forward is joining the Somerset Park outfit on a free transfer after ending his stay with English National League (Fifth-tier)  side Aldershot Town last season.

The capturing of the former Birmingham City U21 youth star will come as a morale booster for manager Lee Bullen as he would count on his contributions for the upcoming league campaign.

Born and raised to Ghanaian parents, the London-born centre-forward is still eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage as he's yet to be capped by the England national team.
