English born Ghanaian forward Charles Sagoe Jr made his Arsenal debut as a starter as the Gunners stunned Brentford 1-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Reiss Nelson scored Arsenal's only goal in the 8th minute when Sagoe's Jr countryman Eddie Nkethia's prod pass found him after a melee inside the box, which he slotted the ball into the bottom right corner of the post.
Sagoe Jr, dazzled for Arsenal who edged the Bees in a thrilling 1-0 encounter in the fifth-round of the Carabao Cup.
However, the 19-year-old was replaced in the 68th minute by Gabriel Jesus.
