Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah climbed off the bench to score a lovely header to rescue Olympique Lyon from a home defeat to Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.
Numah, who was introduced after the break as a replacement for Rayan Cherki, registered his name on the score sheet in the 65th minute to level the score for Lyon at the Groupama Stadium.
After a lack of goals in the first half, Stade Reims took the lead in the 55th minute through Joseph Okumu before the former Nordsjaelland attacker snatched the equalizer with a header.
Nuamah brilliantly headed home his second goal of the season for Olympique Lyon in the 65th minute, courtesy of a cross delivered by Saïd Benrahma.
The 20-year-old joined the French Ligue 1 giants on a season-long loan deal from Belgian side RWD Molenbeek after sealing a €25 million move from FC Nordsjaelland during the summer transfer window.
Nuamah has scored two goals and provided two assists in 24 appearances for Olympique Lyon across all competitions in the ongoing season so far.
