Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah is a doubt for Olympique Lyonnais’ Ligue 1 round 10 encounter against Brest on Sunday after suffering a muscle strain.
Interim head coach Jorge Maciel confirmed the injury concern, leaving the 23-year-old uncertain for the weekend fixture as Lyon assess his condition.
Nuamah was absent from Lyon’s Europa League match against Real Sociedad and could now miss a second consecutive game if he fails to recover in time.
The former Nordsjaelland forward has made a positive contribution this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in all competitions.
His possible absence would be a concern for Lyon as they prepare for the Brest test, with the club waiting to determine whether he will be available for selection.
Lyon are scheduled to face Brest on Sunday in Ligue 1, but Nuamah’s involvement remains uncertain due to the muscle problem.
This means Ernest Nuamah could be a huge doubt for the Black Stars who are preparing to take on Somalia in the November international window in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.
