Ghanaian defender Joseph Ayimbilla has officially joined American second-tier side Maimi FC on a free transfer, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.
USL Championship outfit Miami FC have announced the acquisition of former Accra Lions left-back for their next season's campaign.
The club's official statement reads “The Miami Football Club announced today the signing of defender Jordan Ayimbila as the club continues to building the nucleus of its new look 2024 roster.”
The 22-year-old Ghana native joins Miami FC ahead of the 2024 season after playing the 2023 season with Las Vegas Lights FC. He made 11 appearances in the recently ended season.
Ayimbila originally made his USL Championship debut in 2022 with San Antonio FC while on loan from the Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions FC.
He spent the entire 2022 season with San Antonio FC and played an instrumental role in their USL Championship triumph.
Ayimbila previously played a season-long loan for Selangor FC from Accra Lions in the Malaysia Premier League in 2021.
