Former Manchester City youngster Aminu Mohammed has officially joined Greek third-tier league side AEP Kozani F.C after passing a mandatory medical examination earlier today.
The 22-year-old has joined the Kozani based club on a free transfer after his contract with English Premier League heavyweights Manchester City was terminated.
Aminu left the shores of Ghana earlier this week to sign a one-year contract with AEP Kozani F.C in Greece.
Manchester City acquired the signature of talented winger in a five-year deal worth €1.8million from Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy in 2018 but he failed to live up to expectations.
Aminu was initially loaned out to the U21 side of Dutch club NAC Breda for a short stint before joining FC Dordrecht but his loan spell was cut short due indiscipline issues.
In 2020, English Premier League heavyweights opted to farm the Mohammed Aminu to Belgian second-tier outfit Lommel SK — a feeder club of Manchester City — on a 24-month loan deal but he failed to make a single appearance.
Aminu was among the list of players released by Manchester City ahead of their 2022/23 season's campaign.
