The workaholic midfielder is on the verge of making a return to European football after attracting interest from the Kehrweg Stadion outfit.

Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso is set to complete a sensational switch to Belgian Jupilier League side KAS Eupen in the ongoing transfer window.

Wakaso has arrived in Belgium to finalize negotiations with the top-tier before inking a season-long contract.
 
The 31-year-old has been offered a one-year contract with an option of renewal by KAS Eupen and expected to undergo a mandatory medical examination in the coming hours.
 
Wakaso has spent the last three years in China, where he played for the defunct Jiangsu Suning, helping them win the 2020 Chinese Super League. The club folded in 2021.
 
His last stint in the Asian nation was with Chinese Super League side Shenzen FC, he left the club following the expiration of his contract.
 
Wakaso, who was a member of the Black Stars team at the Nations Cup in Cameroon early this year, has been inactive since February.
 
The former Villareal player has been training individually but was in Qatar for the past three weeks practising with Al Sadd.
