Real Valladolid and Parma Calcio have expressed strong interest in signing Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo on loan from Celta Vigo in the just-opened winter transfer window, per multiple reports.

The 29-year-old has been struggling to earn playing time at the Abanca Balaidos since returning from almost ten months injury which saw missed majority part of the 2023/24 campaign.

He raptured his Achilles tendon which he suffered during Ghana's international friendly game against Mexico in Charlotte, USA, in October 2023.

He finally resumed training and even had a good preseason with Celta Vigo in the summer hoping to find his form in the ongoing campaign but is still struggling having made only two appearances in the Copa del Rey so far and one in the La Liga.

Lack of playing time sparked up speculations that the Black Stars defender and his camp have asked for a loan spell elsewhere where he can get much game minutes to rediscover himself.

La Liga rivals Real Valladolid and Italian Serie A fold Parma Calcio have reportedly contacted Celta Vigo for a possible loan move until the end of the season with both teams ready to cover half of the player's salary while his parent club - who are yet to respond to the proposals, take the rest.

Joseph Aidoo has been out of the Ghana national team for over a year now and is really looking forward to getting back to competitive action and probably secure his place back into the Black Stars.
