Faroe Islands club FC Hoyvík has completed the signing of Abednego Tetteh, the top goal scorer of the Ghana Premier League.
Tetteh has joined the second-tier club after parting ways with Ghana Premier League side Bibiani Goldstars at the conclusion of the previous season. He is expected to play a significant role for his new team as they aim to have a meaningful impact in the current campaign.
The former player of Hearts of Oak and King Faisal opted not to continue in the Ghanaian top-flight, citing disrespect from the Ghana Football Association after being awarded a GHC5,000 voucher for a dental visit as the goal king prize.
Tetteh has already made two appearances for FC Hoyvík, scoring one goal and providing two assists. During his short stint with Bibiani Goldstars, he was a crucial member of the squad, scoring 18 goals to claim the Ghana Premier League goal king title at the end of the 2022/23 football season.
