Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto is interested in signing Ghana international Gideon Mensah this summer, a report has claimed.
Mensah, 26, who plies his trade in France for AJ Auxerre, has made 26 appearances and managed one assist this season and has been earmarked for a significant role in his club's defense next year.
The former WAFA left-back has emerged as one of the most exciting young defender's around, as his form has caught the eye of a number of sides across Europe and Kickgh.com can name Sheffield United, Royal Antwerp, Porto as three of several suitors.
There have been claims Auxerre could listen to offers of around €3.5 million for Mensah, with such a price tag would appear to be well exact his true value. Mensah's contract at AJ Auxerre will expire next year, 2026.
