Romania giants FC Steaua Bucuresti had established a strong interest, hoping to close a deal with Hermannstadt which will see Baba Alhassan join them ahead of the January transfer window.
Alhassan, 23, is among the top talents in the Southeastern European nation and a whole host of European giants have tend-in a desire to sign him, with sources confirming that he will receive a staggering monthly salary of €10,000 at FCSB.
The Red and Blues scouts have been impressed by the former African Talent Football Academy trainee over recent years.
However, Hermannstadt chairman Dănuț Coman had stated that he has negotiated with his Red and Blacks Bucharest rivals FCSB and Rapid București for the transfer of Alhassan, but it has emerged FCSB is will be the players next destination.
Having been in the fold of Hermannstadt since 2020, Baba Alhassan had featured in 106 games and netted 17 goals in all competitions.
