Ghanaian youngster, Felix Afena-Gyan feels very elated after his brighter start in their preseason hoping to replicate the same performance when the 2022/23 season begins.

The 19 year old enjoyed second half action in his side AS Roma's 2-0 victory over English championship side Sunderland AFC in a preseason friendly at the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira in Portugal. 

The young sensation didn't make the starting line up but was introduced into the game at the start of the second half to replace Stephan El Shaarawy. 
 
He made his presence really felt on the pitch after opening the scoring account on the 75th minute with a sweet finish and assisted Nicolo Zaniolo for their second, five minutes later to seal the win.
 
Speaking to reporters after the game, the EurAfrica FC product disclosed with so much optimism that, AS Roma will be explosive next season and will also hope to bang in more goals in their subsequent matches. 
 
"It was a good match. We played as a team and had a great mentality. If we continue like this we will win every game. I will do my best by scoring, trying to take every opportunity that comes my way. I will continue to train hard."
 
Afena-Gyan, 19, is hoping to impress in order to become a mainstay at the Stadio Olympico next season and also an integral member of the Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar later this year.
