The right-back, who came close to joining Italian giants AS Roma during the summer, has now popped up on the radar of the Turkish top guns in this just-opened winter transfer window

Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahçe S.K have reportedly joined the race to sign Austrian-born Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso from French Ligue 1 side RC Lens, a report from the Turkish media has stated.

With English Premier League trio namely; Everton, Southampton and Wolves all being credited with his move this January, the lstanbul-based club have now also been including among his suitors in this just-opened transfer window.

According to journalist Barış Yurduseven, Fenerbahce are looking forward to reinforcing their defensive line set-up and have set sights on the Ghanaian defender.

The report further added that talks over the deal have reached its apogee between the two parties as iconic manager Jose Mourinho is hell-bent on securing his services to beef up his centre-back department this winter.

Nonetheless, his services would not come cheap for his suitors as they need to cough up an amount of 25 million euros for his services as per his current transfermarkt valuation.

He has so far featured in 10 league games for RC Lens in this current French Ligue 1 2024-25 football campaign.

Born and raised to Ghanaian parents in Austria, Danso remains ineligible to represent Ghana at the international level as he's been cap-tied by the Austrian senior national team.
