Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey is back in training for Brighton and Hove Albion after spending weeks in the treatment room.
Lamptey suffered an injury setback whiles in action for Brighton during a UEFA Europa League game against Olympique Marseille in October 5, 2023 and has since not been active for the Premier League club.
He has missed a couple of games for both club and country due to injury. The defender missed the Black Stars international friendlies against Mexico and the USA in October.
He also missed the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros because of the injury setback and has fully recovered and is now back in training with Brighton squad for this weekend game.
Lamptey is in line to be included in the Black Stars team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament slated to be played from January and February 2024 in Ivory Coast.
