Ghana forward Kwabena Owusu scored on a blistering counter-attack in Qarabağ FK's 3-0 UEFA Europa League Group G win over Olympiacos at the Karaiskaki Stadium on Thursday night.
The 25-year-old fired the opener in the 68th minute as Qarabağ astonishingly had a goal ruled out earlier for offside, but this time, VAR was right on deck and the goal was given after a check, silencing the noisy home crowd.
Unleashing men up-front, the home side were left lurking nonchalantly at the back, and two late goals from Montenegrin right wing-back, Marko Vešović and Ramil Sheydayev ensured the Horsemen secured a back-to-back win in an European competition for just the second time in club history.
The Horsemen will face Olympiacos in the return leg of the UEFA Europa League in Azerbaijan on October 13.
