Former Ghana international Matthew Amoah has returned to NAC Breda, teaming up with former teammate Anouar Diba on the Dutch side’s technical bench.

The duo will focus on developing the club’s forwards and attacking unit.

Speaking on the appointments, NAC Breda’s technical director Peter Maas said: "With the addition of Matthew and Anouar, we're adding specific expertise to the current coaching staff. Both have been doing excellent and focused work with our youth players at the NAC Youth Academy for quite some time, and they'll now do the same with the first team."

Amoah, who played for NAC between 2007 and 2011, scored 57 goals and registered 12 assists in over 130 appearances. Diba, on the other hand, made more than 120 appearances between 2002 and 2007, notching 20 goals and 20 assists.

On the international stage, Amoah represented Ghana at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, and went ahead to finish his national team career with 45 caps and 12 goals.

The Dutch side currently sit at the bottom of the Eredivisie table with 13 points from 17 matches in the 2025/26 season. Amoah and Diba will work closely with former Ghana captain Andre Ayew, who recently joined NAC Breda until the end of the season.
