Former Hearts of Oak forward Kofi Kordzi has completed a transfer to Ethiopian Premier League newcomers Mekelle 70 Enderta FC.
The 29-year-old striker has signed a one-year renewable contract with the club, following a successful medical examination on Thursday afternoon.
Kordzi makes the move to Ethiopia on a free transfer after his stint with Libyan side Al-Tahadi Benghazi, where he played since September 2023. Prior to his time in Libya, Kordzi had a brief spell with Ghana Premier League outfit Legon Cities FC, where he netted five goals in 26 appearances.
The bulky forward, who had a notable return to Hearts of Oak in August 2021 after a season with Qatari Second Division side Muaither SC, was in impressive form with the Phobians. He scored 14 goals in 42 appearances, which earned him a transfer to Qatar in October 2022.
Kordzi was also part of the Ghana team that competed in the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria.
His move to Mekelle 70 Enderta FC sees him join another Ghanaian player, former Asante Kotoko defender Sherif Mohammed, who signed for the club earlier this transfer window.
