Ghanaian born Belgian international, Francis Amuzu has highlighted on the reasons why he chose to represent Belgium at national level over Ghana.
The 22 year old was born in Accra but later moved to Belgium and has enjoyed his career progression there so far where he's featured for their youth national teams.
The mercurial winger was in a sensational form in the just ended season and was involved in 12 goals for Anderlecht in the just ended season, having scored 9 and assisted 3 in the Belgian Jupiler Pro.
The Ghana FA have tried on several occasions to lure his service to the Black Stars but to no avail and stated these though he is yet to receive the Red Devils call up.
Francis Amuzu, 21, has revealed Ghana is where he was born but his sporting hearts belongs to Ghana. He said;
"Look, I was born in Ghana and when I'm there, I feel at home there because of the African atmosphere. My sporty heart lies with Belgium. With Belgium you can go very far at such a World Cup, with Ghana there is a real chance that you will be out quickly.”
"I have a career plan and we'll see. I had hoped that I would already have more playing minutes at Anderlecht, but then I also have to show myself.”
