Comfortable at right-back and right wing-back, Mensah brings pace, an appetite for getting forward and experience of National League football following a season with Peterborough Sports.''
The Peterborough United academy graduate has told his club's website: '' Since coming on board with Ugo at Premier Footballers International, I’ve had a few offers from clubs in Steps 2 and 3,” he said. “But I chose Real Bedford because our ambitions and aspirations align and to work under a great manager. Now that I’m injury-free, I just want to get back to playing regularly and kicking back on.”

Head coach Rob Sinclair added: ''We’re delighted to bring Benji to the club. He’s a defender who is very comfortable on the ball and has the qualities to fit the way we want to play. He’s also a brilliant character who will add a lot to the group, both on and off the pitch."
The Seriate-born native guardsman remains fit to play for Ghana at the senior level on the international stage given his Ghanaian lineage.
