The promising full-back has been farmed out by Premier League outfit to aid his development
French Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg have announced the loan signing of Swedish-born Ghanaian defender Genesis Kofi Koranteng Antwi from Chelsea until the end of the 2026/27 season's campaign.
The 19-year-old, who arrived at the Chelsea at age 10 and he has rose through the Chelsea youth ranks to make debut appearance for the senior team two seasons ago, coming off the bench in 2024/25 UEFA Conference League games against FC Copenhagen and Djurgarden at Stamford Bridge.
Antwi has joined the French club on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea for more playing time to help his progress after tasting no minutes for the Chelsea first-team last season.
The club's official statement reads: "Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace is pleased to announce the arrival on loan of Swedish Under-21 international Genesis Antwi. Born in 2007, the right-back was trained at Chelsea and won the UEFA Conference League there in 2025. He joins the group coached by Hugo Oliveira.''
The Stockholm-born signed a three-year contract in September 2025 with Chelsea and he has already featured for Sweden at the U21 level.
Antwi received a medal following his role in Chelsea's UEFA Conference League triumph during the 2024/25 season.
Despite playing gor Sweden at the youth levels, Antwi is still eligible to play for either Ghana or England in the future.
