The teenage defender of Ghanaian origin has penned a contract extension with the Bundesliga superpower, with the new deal ensuring his promotion to the U23 side come next season
German-born Ghanaian teenager Hendry Aron Blank has extended his deal with Bundesliga heavyweights BVB Dortmund until June 30, 2025, the club have announced.
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen youth star, who joined the Dortmund-based club at the U16 youth level in 2019/20 season, has taken the U19 Bundesliga West by storm having made 15 and 7 appearances in league and UEFA Youth League respectively this just ended term.
An official statement from Dortmund has said "Borussia Dortmund U19 players Marian Kirsch and Hendry Blank are moving up to join the club's U23 squad. The two Bundesliga West title winners from this year have signed contracts tying them to BVB until 30 June 202."
Blank was a pillar at the heart of defense for the Black and Yellow U19 side as they annexed the U19-Bundesliga West 22/23 league title.
Having been born and raised in Germany by Ghanaian parents, the promising teenager is still eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage as he is yet to be capped by the Germany national team.
