Eintracht Braunschweig has added depth to their attack with the loan signing of Ghanaian forward Richmond Tachie from 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
The 25-year-old will remain with the Lions until the end of the 2024/2025 season, although no purchase option has been included in the deal.
Born on April 21, 1999, in Berlin, Tachie began his career in VfL Wolfsburg’s youth academy before moving to Viktoria Koln in 2019.
He went on to play for Borussia Dortmund’s second team, SC Paderborn, and most recently Kaiserslautern.
Tachie brings significant experience in German football, having made 54 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga, with four goals and seven assists, as well as 37 matches in the 3rd League, contributing seven goals and eight assists.
Sports director Benjamin Kessel spoke highly of the new arrival, stating:
"Richmond is a versatile striker who will add dynamism to our attack and pose a greater goal-scoring threat. His pace, work ethic off the ball, goal-scoring drive, and clinical finishing are key assets. Furthermore, Richmond is familiar with the 2nd Bundesliga, is in good physical condition, and ready to make an immediate impact."
