Ghana international, Francis Abu was on target on Thursday night to help Cercle Brugge to hammer Olympic Charleroi 3-0 in the Belgian Cup.
The highly rated midfielder started and lasted the full duration of the match in the round of 16 encounter at the Jan Breydel Stadion in Brugge.
Operating in the middle of the field, Abu dished out his midfield brilliance and played a key role to ensure his side progress to the next stage of the competition.
Abu notched his side's second goal on the night in the 35th minute after Erick Nunes had fired the hosts upfront in the 23rd minute.
Strike from Gary Magnee sealed the 3-0 win for Brugge in the 88th minute as he tapped-in a rebound.
With his goal today, Abu now has one goal this season, hoping to carry this momentum into the Belgian Pro League where they lurk on 15 on the log with 12 points.
