Cercle Brugge have announced their Golden Player of the Month for March, and according to the club’s press service, midfielder Lawrence Agyekum won the individual award.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian earned 56.67% of the fan votes, beating out centre-back Lucas Perrin.
So far this Belgian Jupiler Pro League season, Agyekum has played 28 matches, scoring one goal and managing one assist.
In the Month of March, the former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) player featured in five games for Brugge, starting all matches.
"With more than half of the votes you elected Lawrence Agyekum as Golden Player of the Month March! Well deserved, Lawrence!," Cercle Brugge posted.
Cercle Brugge are currently 13th on the Jupiler Pro League table with 32 points after 26 rounds of matches, and are competing in the promotion-relegation play-off.
