Ghana striker Christopher Antwi-Adjei opened his season's goal scoring account for VfL Bochum against Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga on Tuesday night.
Antwi-Adjei opened the score for the Blue and White lads in their 2-1 home win over Borussia Monchengladbach at the Vonovia Ruhr Stadion.
The 29-year-old opened the score for the home side with a fine strike on the 7th minute before his teammate Philipp Hofmann doubled it five minutes later.
Borussia Monchengladbach failed to snatch a point despite their impressive performance in the second stanza of the game where Alassane Plea managed to grab the consolation goal after the hour-mark.
Antwi-Adjei was substituted by Gerrit Holtmann after enjoying 71 minutes of the game action.
He has scored one goal and provided two assists in his 9 game outings for VfL Bochum in the 2022/23 German Bundesliga.
Antwi-Adjei was named in Ghana's provisional 55-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar which will be trimmed to 26 players before next week.
