Ghana attacking midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh opened his season's goal scoring account for SC Freiburg against FSV Mainz 05 in the German Bundesliga.
Kofi Kyereh netted his first-ever Bundesliga goal for SC Freiburg in their 2-1 home victory over FSV Mainz 05 at the Europa Park Stadion on Saturday afternoon.
SC Freiburg commenced the fixture on a good note as Michael Gregoritsch fetched the opener with a fine strike on the third minute before Kofi Kyereh made it 2-0.
The 26-year-old doubled the lead for the home side with a brilliant header on the 37th minute of the game.
A 52nd minute strike from Aaron Martin wasn't enough for FSV Mainz 05 to snatch a point at the Europa Park Stadion as SC Freiburg cruise to a 2-1 home win.
Kofi Kyereh was replaced by Woo-yeong Jeong after enjoying 69 minutes of the game.
He joined SC Freiburg on a multi-year contract from FC St. Pauli during the recently ended summer transfer window.
