The Cyprus top-flight outfit have announced the signing of the former Manchester City youth star from the Azerbaijani elite side in the ongoing winter transfer window 

Ghana international centre-forward Godsway Donyoh has sealed a two-year deal with Cyprus First Division League side Apollon Limassol FC from Azerbaijani side Neftsi Baku until May 2025.

The Limassol-based club said in a statement that the 28-year-old left-footed striker "is expected in Cyprus in the next few days to undergo medical tests and to ratify the agreement" after agreeing terms in principle over his transfer deal with the Baku-based club in this January transfer window.

"The Apollon Football (Public) Ltd Company announces the agreement in principle with Neftsi Baku for the acquisition of the footballer Godsuei Donio until May 2025," a statement over the signing of Donyoh reads.

Before making his switch to the current Cyprus league holders, the former Dynamo Dresden loanee made 21 appearances by scoring 5 goals for Neftsi Baku in all competitions in the Azerbaijani top-flight having joined them in the summer of 2022.

Donyoh is yet to be capped by Ghana at the men's senior national team, the Back Stars.
