Ghanaian youngster, Isaac Donkor, says he is eyeing for an impressive season with his new club, Unione Sportiva Avellino in the upcoming Italian second-tier league campaign.
The 20-year-old versatile back liner joined the Serie B campaigners on a season long loan deal from his mother club, Inter Milan last month.
Having endured a torrid time in last season's league campaign with fellow Italian lower division side FC Bari, the guardsman is now hoping for an impressive league outings with the Biancoverdi's ahead of the 2016/2017 top-flight season.
"I've been well received in this group. I'm really happy as we've been working hard for each other as well," the 20-year-old centre-back told TuttoAvellino.it
"The coach is trying me at a different position but I can play in either defence or central midfield position. I'll do my best to help the club as we're in a difficult moment in terms of form,"
"It takes a lot of sacrifice in the running to get things back on track, but we hope to turn things around very soon,"
" I was warmly welcomed in Bari last season as the start of the journey was in good shape, but then my season was marred by an up and down performances. So, hopefully I will like to have a very good season with Avellino this time round," he said.
Isaac Donkor is yet to be capped by Ghana and he has expressed his avidness to play for the West African powerhouse.
