Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu Adams scored extra-time winner to propel FC Basel to the semi-final stage of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday evening.
The Swiss Super League club progressed to the semis of the competition after eliminating OGC Nice on a 4-3 aggregate after the two-legged fixture.
The second leg tie at the Allianz Riviera stadium ended in a 2-1 win for FC Basel after the first leg tie had ended in a 2-2 stalemate in Switzerland.
OGC Nice took the lead in the early minutes to upset the Swiss side through a 9th minute goal from Gaetan Laborde.
The French Ligue 1 outfit were handed a shock, with just four minutes to the end of the game when Jean-Kevin Augustin popped up for the leveller for the visitors.
The fixture was forced into an extra-time which a 98th minute goal from Kasim Nuhu Adams secured FC Basel a spot in the semi-final stage of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League.
Adams enjoyed the entire duration of the game including the 30 minutes of extra-time.
He has netted two goals and provided an assist in 40 matches for FC Basel since joining them on a season-long loan deal from German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim.
