The talented guardsman has sealed a lucrative move to the Swiss second-tier outfit in the ongoing transfer window.

Italian-born of Ghanaian descent Frank Amoabeng has officially joined Swiss Challenge League side Neuchâtel Xamax until the summer of 2025.

The 21-year-old was offered a three-year deal by the Red and Black lads after impressing the technical handlers of the club during a one-month trial period.

He joins Neuchâtel Xamax after his exit from Italian Serie C outfit Novara where he made only two appearances last year.

The club's official statement reads “Neuchâtel Xamax is pleased to announce the arrival of young full-back Frank Amoabeng. Aged 21, this left side – who can also play in the axis of defense – arrives from Novare, a militant club in the Italian Serie C.”

He made 30 appearances in all competitions for Novara FC after earning promotion to the club's senior side in 2021.

“I felt good. I took several tests and it went well. Obviously, everything is new for me, I discover a new type of football so I still have to adapt,” Amoabeng told the club's official website after signing the contract

“It will get better and better. I’m here to play, give my best and help the team. I am convinced that the team will do better this spring.”

“I am also looking forward and above all to discovering our audience as soon as the recovery” he concluded

Amoabeng, who will be wearing jersey no.35 at Neuchâtel Xamax, has capped twice for Ghana at the U23 level.
