Mansfield Town endured a tough 4-1 loss to Crawley Town in the English League Two, with a late goal from Hiram Boateng providing a glimmer of hope amidst the defeat.
Boateng displayed his prowess with a remarkable right-footed strike from the center of the box in the 80th minute, courtesy of an assist from George Williams at the One Call Stadium.
Despite Mansfield Town and Crawley Town having an evenly matched head-to-head record before the game, the latter dominated proceedings right from the start. Kellan Gordon set the tone with an early goal in the 4th minute, followed by Nicholas Tsaroulla's strike in the 25th minute.
Danilo Orsi extended Crawley Town's lead in the 55th minute, while Klaidi Lolos added a fourth goal just a minute later.
Boateng's late goal served as a consolation for Mansfield Town, who will be eager to bounce back in their next fixture.
With 29 appearances, five goals, and one assist in League Two this season, Boateng remains a key figure for Mansfield Town despite the disappointing result against Crawley Town.
