Ghanaian defender Rashid Alhassan has signed a one-year contract with Kosovo top-tier side FK Trepça Mitrovicë, Kickgh.com can reveal.
The 26-year-old centre-back joins as a free agent after last featuring for Nigerian Premier League side Kano Pillars.
Alhassan brings experience from stints with Ghana Premier and Division One League clubs Medeama SC, Karela United, and Real Tamale United (RTU).
His move to Europe marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to re-establish himself after spells in West Africa, Southern Africa (Venda FC), and Somalia for Elman Sports Club.
Trepça Mitrovicë, who are competing in the First Football League which is the second tier of the Kosovar football league system are aiming to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the 2025/26 season, and see Alhassan as a key addition due to his versatility and top-flight experience.
