The 22-year-old defender of Ghanaian descent is currently trialing at the German second-tier outfit ahead of the resumption of the ongoing league campaign
German-born Ghanaian centre-back Awortwie-Grant Nyamekye is undergoing trials at Bundesliga 2 side Eintracht Braunschweig from fourth division club TSG Balingen.
The 1.9 m tall guardsman could be handed a deal by the newly-promoted second division side if he excels at the end of his assessment sessions at the Eintracht-Stadion.
An excerpt of a statement from Eintracht Braunschweig confirming the presence of the 22-year-old in their fold reads: "In addition to new signing Linus Gechter, Nyamekye Awortwie-Grant from regional league club TSG Balingen will also be there. The 22-year-old central defender is doing a trial with the lions."
Nyamekye made 5 league appearances for TSG Balingen during the Regionalliga Südwest 22/23 football season.
The Tübingen-born defender could switch allegiance to play for Ghana at the international level as he is yet to be capped by Germany at the international stage.
