The 25-year-old former Hannover 96 defender has touched down in Germany ahead of a move to the German top-flight campaigners this summer

Ghanaian left-back Derrick Köhn has landed in the city of Bremen to undergo his mandatory medical examinations with Bundesliga side SV Werder Bremen.

 The talented stopper, who rejected the advances of Russian Premier League giants FC Spartak Moscow, is set to complete his loan switch to the German side provided he's given a clean bill of health after his medical assessment by the close of today ahead of the transfer deadline day.

Currently on the books of Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray SK, the former Bayern Munich ll man could put pen to paper on a loan deal with the Weserstadion outfit until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

His contract with the lstanbul-based club will expire in June 2026 and as per his transfermarkt valuation, suitors are to splash €6m on his head if they are to land him permanently this summer.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, Derrick remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany U19 national youth team.
