Emmanuel Ntim was a surprise package as Caen dumped RC Calais out of the Coupe de France courtesy of a 4-1 win at the Stade de l'Épopée on Saturday.
The Ghanaian stalwart scored twice to help the Vikings to thrive off the back of an electric crowd to progress from Round 8 of the Coupe de France.
The hosts took the lead on the eleventh minute mark as Redwan Aboukassem scored as they went into recess with the lead.
Caen bagged an equaliser on the 71st minute through Emmanuel Ntim, however, the 27-year-old added another goal thirteen minutes later.
Ivorian midfielder Debohi Diedouanne and Alexandre Mendy added the third and fourth goal respectively as Caen held out strongly for a well-deserved victory.
Ntim - a former player of Right to Dream Academy has scored two goals and featured in twelve French Ligue 2 games this season.
