Ghanaian young center-back Philip Gameli Awuku has shown his happiness after making his transfer to Turkish Club Manisa FK on Monday afternoon.

He joined the Black and Whites outfit on a free transfer after leaving Tuzlaspor this summer and has penned a one year deal with an option to extend for a further one year.

“I had a wonderful time in Turkey. Now I am very happy to be in Manisa. I am excited to compete here. I want to work hard and contribute as much as I can to help Manisa Futbol Kulübü achieve its goals.”

He formerly played for Ghana’s Okyeman FC and went to Turkey to join Yeni Malatyaspor, which was competing in the Süper Lig at the time, for the 2020-2021 season.

The Ghanaian spent two seasons there before he joined Tuzlaspor for the 2022-2023 season and became one of the team’s key players.

Gameli Awuku has played 83 official matches and contributed to 4 goals in his time in Turkey.
