The 30-year-old veteran midfield enforcer has teamed up with the English seventh-tier campaigners in this current football season

Southern League Premier Division South club Chippenham Town FC have announced the signing of Ghanaian-England defensive midfielder Nana Owusu for the 2026-27 season.

The veteran midfield enforcer is bonding with The Bluebirds on a free transfer move after parting ways with lowly division side Hungerford Town FC during the summer of 2026.

A statement confirming the capturing of the former Reading U23 star read: ''CTFC are happy to announce the arrival of winger Nana Owusu. The 30 year old has previous experience in the National League, National League South and Southern League, with clubs such as Maidenhead, Oxford City, Dulwich Hamlet and Havant & Waterlooville.

''During the years, we have faced Nana a total of eight times. Our paths first crossed in 2018, when we played for Maidenhead. He came off of the bench in the replay of our FA Cup 4Q ties against the Magpies, he could potentially claim the ‘pre-assist’ for the only goal of the match. His other appearances against us came for Oxford City and Dulwich Hamlet.''

Right after putting pen to paper on the deal, the left-footed enforcer has told the club's official website: ''Chippenham are a club I have always admired when I’ve played against them, and to come in and help this club be successful.''

Owusu remains fit to play for Ghana at the senior level on the international stage.
