Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Sadiq delivered a standout performance for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, propelling them to a thrilling comeback victory against RKC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie.
Stepping onto the pitch as a substitute in the 62nd minute, Sadiq wasted no time in making his mark. Just four minutes later, he provided the crucial assist for Yukinari Sugawara's goal, igniting AZ's comeback.
Not content with just setting up a goal, Sadiq then showcased his scoring prowess, finding the back of the net himself nine minutes later to level the scores. This impressive display of skill helped AZ overturn a 2-0 deficit they faced at halftime, with David Min scoring both goals for Waalwijk.
The turnaround was completed when Vangelis Pavlidis scored the winning goal just two minutes after Sadiq's equalizer, securing all three points for AZ in front of their home crowd at the AFAS Stadion.
Having joined AZ Alkmaar during the winter transfer window from BK Hacken, the Ghanaian youth international has quickly become an integral part of the team.
With 12 appearances already under his belt for the club, Sadiq has contributed a goal and two assists, showcasing his versatility and talent on the pitch.
