Ghana international Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer has completed a move to Bundesliga side Mainz ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 24-year-old joins from Hamburger SV after a solid campaign, where he made 33 league appearances and scored five goals.

Born in Germany but representing Ghana, Königsdörffer has developed into a dynamic forward known for his pace and physical strength, with previous experience at Dynamo Dresden.

Across both clubs, he has recorded 29 goals in 130 appearances.

Mainz sporting director Niko Bungert praised his profile, describing him as a fast, physical striker who fits the club’s attacking style.

Königsdörffer said he is excited about the move, adding that Mainz’s project and long-term vision convinced him to join.

The forward will now look to establish himself as a key player for Mainz in the upcoming Bundesliga season.
