Two goals from Jayden Addai earned Jong AZ, which is AZ Alkmaar’s reserve side, a hard-fought win over Jong Ajax at Sportcomplex De Toekomst on Tuesday night in an entertaining affair which saw the hosts reduced to ten men after just 45 minutes.
Addai, a Dutch-born Ghanaian forward began a brilliant week in his football career by notching a brace of goals in last night's 2-1 away win against a ten-man Ajax reserve side.
Addai started the match and subsequently impressed, getting in on the goal scoring action with his two second half goals in the space of three minutes (55th and 58th minutes), with his second being a penalty.
The win against Jong Ajax has propelled AZ to the 6th position with 10 points, having recorded eight wins and three draws in the ongoing second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands.
