Moritz-Broni Kwarteng was among the players who reported for pre-season training at VfL Bochum following his recovery from a three-month injury layoff.

The German-born Ghanaian suffered from a partial rupture of the medial ligament in his knee during his side's 4-1 home defeat to RB Leipzig in last season's Bundesliga.

The 26-year-old underwent reconstructive surgery on his knee after the injury cut his season short almost four months ago.

However, the attacking midfielder's recovery seems to be going well as Bochum stars reported back for duty on Monday after the summer break, with Kwarteng successfully completing the mandatory performance diagnostics.

He enjoyed a bright start to last season, setting up one goal in his 11 Bundesliga appearances before he suffered a knee injury in March.
